Lancaster Community Garden

The Lancaster Community Garden was formed in 2015 with the following mission:
To organize resources including volunteers, materials, equipment and capital in order to start, manage, and maintain productive, organic community gardens in Lancaster in order to achieve the following:
  • Stronger ties within our community
  • Education (nutrition, agriculture)
  • Contributions of fresh produce to local food banks
  • Sustainable ways for people who typically can’t grow their own food because of lack of access to adequate growing conditions

Start a Garden!

Lancaster residents can apply for a garden plot in Memorial Park by the volleyball courts for the entire growing season, from April to November. These plots are great for those with little or no space for a garden at home. Garden plots are  4x6 foot. Applying for a garden plot to grow vegetables and fruit is easy.
